Josef Wilhelm Semeleder was born on 30. 06. 1984 in Vienna as the youngest of six children.

Ranked first in the lower Austrian state competition “Prima la musica” then second place in the Austrian contest “Prima la musica”. Ranked third at the international Musiccontest in Stresa (Italy).
Preparation class at the university for music and fine arts in Vienna with Mag. Werner Fleischmann and Prof. Mag. Josef Niederhammer.

First place at the lower austrian state competition, then second place at the Austrian contest “Prima la musica”, Special-Price from the Vienna Tonkünstler Orchestra. Mastertraining with Prof. Johannes Auersperg. Substitute to the Vienna State Opera and the Bruckner-Orchestra Linz. Working with the Music Theatre Schönbrunn, Stubstitute to the Symphonic Orchestra of the Vienna Public Opera.
